Pride

It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is on strike. At the Gay Pride March in London, a group of gay and lesbian activists decide to raise money to support the families of the striking miners. But there is a problem. The Union seems embarrassed to receive their support.

However, in an act of charity they decide to bypass the Union and go direct to the miners, identifying a small mining village in Wales and journeying to make their donation in person. In an extraordinary story of two seemingly alien yet open-minded communities, they form a surprising and ultimately triumphant partnership.

Starring award winning British actors Bill Nighy (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Love Actually), and Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake, Harry Potter), Matthew Warchus transforms this rousing true story into a warm and witty British film masterpiece.

Jack to a Swan

Acclaimed director Marc Evans (Hinterland, Patagonia), Academy Award-winning associate producer James Marsh (Man on Wire), executive producers Mal Pope and Edward Thomas and producer and documentary-maker Gwenllian Hughes present Jack to a King, a documentary film that recounts the remarkable tale of how a 'rag tag' band of builders, housewives, teachers and travel agents came together to save their beloved football club and ended up m turning their city into a worldwide brand.

Through archival footage and intimate interviews, this is Swansea City FC's incredible journey from the sale of the club for just £1 to their £90 million promotion to the Premier League - a heart-warming and captivating must watch whether you're a fan of the beautiful game or not. This is a film about belief, about obsession, about loyalty, about people power, about love and about how some people like to put vodka on their Weetabix.
